After Alfred Frediani passed in 2018, his son Steve continued to farm this truly special site until the sale of the vineyard in early 2023. Steve had his father's same passion for the vineyard and tried to keep it in the family as long as he could. One of his few changes was to radically prune these old beauties to bring in new fruiting positions, creating enough wine for a full barrel for the first time in 2022. This wine fermented with its own yeast spontaneously and immediately filled the room with watermelon, bright cherry, white flowers and juicy fruits galore. The wine still tastes like this with a juicy, succulent texture, deep red color, extra-fine tannins and a bright, vibrant finish, which has a sneaky resounding depth.
