There is almost nothing better than sitting down to blend the latest vintage of Ritual. We have so many different sources and base wines for this cuvee, which are all thrilling in their own right, but together always turn into something magical. In 2013, we had the opportunity for true ripeness, voluptuous texture and real structure. The result is great length and more openness on the palate. Aromas of blueberry, marionberry liquor, white and black peppercorn, rosemary, dried thyme and plum flowers fill the glass. Deep layers of earthy black and blue fruits, grilled bread and sassafras give flavor while the usual full-blown, voluminous palate are pure pleasure.
