We are thrilled to be able to offer this wine to you. This is the first year of many to come where we are sourcing fruit from the famed Phoenix Ranch in Napa for the majority of the cuvée. Phoenix is a great site that has been used by some fine wineries in the past to create Syrahs that reflect Napa Valley’s richness and depth of field, yet the aromatics are of Syrah’s origins in the Northern Rhone. This wine has noble Syrah aromatics of blackberry, blueberry, bacon fat, olive tapenade, white pepper and rosemary, with a hint of rose. The palate is dense and has a very intense core, promising a long life ahead as it unfurls on the lengthy, very complex finish. Decanting now gives a sense of the glory for those who are more patient than we are! Just three and half barrels produced.
