The color is a dense ruby-purple with a dark edge. Aromas of bright red berries, exotic spice, bubble gum, bramble, mint, white pepper, and bacon fat. On the palate, this medium- to full-bodied rarity is rich and dense, thanks to extremely tiny yields, with fine tannins in a supporting role while flavor takes the lead. The finish is long and pure, unencumbered by new oak. Sourced from the mixed block at Alfred Frediani’s heritage vineyard, the interplanted array of Carignane, Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet and Valdigué make for a historic, rare and deliciously complex red.
